Hey GMCers, I'm thinking about buying an SX200 from Carvin. I'm just curious as to if anyone has had experience with these solid-state amps and how they perform. Also, how loud is 200 watts solid state? Thanks guys.

I don't know how it sounds, but 200 watts solid state can get you a very loud sound smile.gif Easily enough loudness to play with a drummer or a band. Even gigs smile.gif

Well 200W solid state is pretty powerfull amp. It cannot compare with a tube amp, but it will sure have a big headroom. I think you can play loud while maintaining the clean sound.
