There is a free to try beta called MID JOURNEY that makes art from an Artificial intelligence engine based on words. So i tried it and made a series based on the word Geisha. Some of the results can be strange, scary, funny, etc. You just never know til you try it

Our own BEN STORM pointed me towards another A.I. art generator called "Night Cafe". Here is the link. You can start with putting in some words and choosing a style.
https://creator.nightcafe.studio/
Here is another Geisha themed pic. It's a bit more abstract than MID JOURNEY
It will also take a photograph and do it in another art style. I did this one with an old pic of me and mixed it with an Andy Warhol style.
Back to MID JOURNEY here is a really spooky one I found in the forum.
I'm sure there are other folks here on GMC that have found cool bits on the web. Please do feel free to share GMC is a guitar site, but it's also a community site. So we can share anything we like
EDIT: This is some midjourney work from a buddy of mine named JOHN MAHONEY who was an animator/designer at the Walt Disney Company in L.A. This is his interpretation of BATMAN using midjourney AI.
Props to our own BEN STORM for pointing me to these sites. This is based on an ancient Japanese wood cut.
Cyber viking
Thanks much for checking out this post and for creating some stuff and sharing it!!
Very cool images. Did you know about mid journey before this thread? It's been kicking around a while, but I hadn't heard of it til pretty recently. Dig the cyber viking!! Would make a cool album/song/profile image.
Here is my profile image run through another AI filter at the NIGHT CAFE site. This site seems to do better with image manipulation than with creating new images from scratch. Mid journey seems to be the king of the hill creating images from scratch.
I expected it to honestly be more difficult than it ended up being. i was suprised how little input the system required to make some really cool images. I think it would be a great way to make Album Art and Singles Art and Even a band logo backdrop etc. It just turns out such cool stuff!! I
I really dig your cyber viking series It would be cool as song/single/album art as that is sorta you! you are the cyber viking after all.
For my next AI song I think I'll make a lyric video with each line being done by midjourney :-D
I think that's a great idea!!!! I can't wait to hear/see it
My quota is full :-/
Yeah, I quickly used up my quota on Midjourney as well. Almost tempted to buy more.
On https://nightcafe.studio/ you can actually create small movies too. Actually longer ones too, but they would be way more expensive, as you'd have to buy credits.
Stuff like this (these are not mine): https://images.nightcafe.studio//jobs/LtPEtPRNzSdRcig18QMV/LtPEtPRNzSdRcig18QMV--N5N6M.mp4
https://images.nightcafe.studio//jobs/g8FzETGZfRxYlKjXi01q/g8FzETGZfRxYlKjXi01q--IAPML.mp4
But it's possible to create longer ones too as said.
That's very cool indeed. It's the one thing that seems to be missing from Mid Journey. Some of the artwork being created on mid journey is just mind boggling imho. But none of it actually moves. I've used CAPCUT to create those fake 3D type moves but that's purely post production.
I hope they add the ability to make animations as part of mid journey. I suspect the server load would be enormous.
this guy does amazing work @chrisperna ininstagram. Ive applied the 3d zoom as a demo. it's just a screen grab

I hit the same issue pretty quickly. Like Ben i've been thinking about getting a paid account. It's just such a cool tool.My quota is full :-/
EDIT: BEN IS SPOT ON WITH THE LINK
Yeah, I'm thinking about getting an account too. Couldn't even get to a pricing page though, I was just sent in circle between web site and discord...
I'm really glad this thread is generating such cool images and ideas. I really dig your most recent works Ben, they have a very abstract and "Painterly" vibe to them. You've come up with some very interesting work in a short period of time. Same goes for Osiris as well. I think several of these images from you guys would work as Album Art and or Single/Song Art. Either for your own music, or even for someone else.
Very creative vibe happening in this thread. I'm gonna see about getting a paid account on mid journey maybe for just a month or so to get some more time on it. I ran out of time on the Beta the first day I tried it.
If anyone wants to try the 3D ZOOM things that I'm using in my demo bits in this thread, it's very easy to do. There is a free app called capcut which creates this effect. All you need is a mobile device. It can then export to social media. Here is a video with a tutorial on creating the effects.
Here is one of Ben's works done with this 3D Zoom effect ( left a cursor in the grab by accident)
https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChFaocyONve/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkCool!
Those last "painter" ones were "sad rainy day + sunset Rembrandt". You can write specific artists and it'll try to imitate that style. I don't think it necessarily caught the style of Rembrandt completely, but maybe some other painter's name will do better. Of course, as always, it can be a bit hit and miss.
I have noticed that different folks images on the site tend to have wildly different results from each other. I thought the images might start looking similar between people creating them, but it's the opposite from what I've seen. With just a few words, a given artist/user on the system, ends up with images that are unique to their inputs. Almost like a bit of a fingerprint/signature which I think is amazing considering tex arguments are often the only inputs.
What a great way to create album art
My thoughts exactly I've said as much earlier in this thread. Great way to make album/song/tshirt/band art.
Saw a very cool video today where a guy used A.I. to make a short film. he's using actual video footage to let the A.I. work it's magic but we are on the cusp of seeing A.I. make astounding moving images with no other input than text cues. This is the next big thing imho and I can't wait to see.
Eventually, A.I. will combine its' own created stories (Various AI engines can already right stories) and combine that with creating full on animated and even photo real moving images. Also, AI can create without the need for human input. That is something that will truly be amazing imho. When we let it off the chain and so go for it.
I had another go at Mid Journey by allowing having it run on my own discord server which seemed to reset my account and give me a bunch more free images/cycle!! Wohooo!!!!
Even better, i was able to scale up without worrying about wasting my cycles as these are all bonus. I dug how this came out. Would make a cool album/song cover imho. Whaddya think?
Weird, I tried the bot in another server (not mine) and that said trial expired immediately...
seemed to work on my discord server but now theres this!
https://pollinations.ai/c/Anything
seems like an aggregator for various AI image tools. Doesn't seem to have any pay wall or limits
Apparently someone won an art contest using a Midjourney piece. I think it's gonna end up killing off a lot of business for digital artists. I.e. if you need an album cover, as has been mentioned here, are you gonna pay a person 300 USD or use Midjourney?
One of my friends mentioned that it might push digital artists more towards creating traditional art, and that's perhaps true - perhaps we'll see a rise in a paintings etc. again?
Here's the article on the art contest:
https://www.vice.com/en/article/bvmvqm/an-ai-generated-artwork-won-first-place-at-a-state-fair-fine-arts-competition-and-artists-are-pissed?fbclid=IwAR1S485z_vUj_xI7pd_-k1CpxCyUuM3O9OHlo214_nKRWWqRFgdy9uPSFc4
I read about this. It's causing quite a stir in the Art community. Mid Journey and other AI tools are making amazing artwork.
Traditionalists are of course screaming NO IT"S NOT ART! But in fact it's just a tool it all depends on the artist after all. It still takes the artist trying to coax the right image out of software. There are also AI bots that will write entire stories based no a few lines of text input from a user. Also, I saw a new AI bot that will create animations from a story. So you can have the AI make a story, and then have another on animate it. It's a brave new world
I created this image in keeping with my last one where I wanted something that would be on a scifi paperback. I wanted to control the balance and proportion and color scheme, just as any artist would. Whaddya think of it?
New A.I. Art Generator to try!!
https://neural.love/ai-art-generator
I made this one. Another of my Geisha series. This one turned out way better than my first attempts on mid journey. Like any tool, the more you use it, the better you get.
Wow, that's fantastic!
Super thanks! It was my first piece that I liked from NEURAL LOVE, the site I linked in the post. So far, its' the best facial work I've gotten out of any of the platforms.
Here is a website that can help anyone create better phrases to feed in to A.I. platforms to get better results!

Did you try one of the other sites I linked?

A bit more AI art that i created with MID JOURNEY. I've tried several AI engines and mid journey is still my fave. It does seem to be the best one out there.
Anyone else experimenting with AI for images/lyrics/music/etc?
I think the potential for album art is huge. Same for book cover art.
I like those I ran out of my free stuff on midjourney, and as I'm trying to save money, I should probably wait a bit before going back into it. I did like Midjourney though. Saw some good results.
A.I. is starting to show up in music videos as well.
A new vid by Meshuggah using A.I.
I got some more free time on Mid Journey! It evidently resets after a while. I did some variations on my KNIGHTS OF HELL theme.
Guitarmasterclass.net Robot =
Very cool stuff!! Thanks for sharing!
Used Midjourney to create album covers for some synthwave songs...
https://osirisdreams.bandcamp.com/album/synthwave
Those look great! Was that entirely in mid journey or photoshop with it? What prompts did you use? Perfect retro vibe. Going to check out your synthwave project.
Here are a few I did with DALL E using 6 string samurai as the base prompt.
Hope it's ok to share your synthwave I really dig it! I hope you do a "making of" vid to let us see your production process.
Mid journey never ceases to amaze me. Those graphics are perfect for synthwave. Mid journey is almost telepathic imho
Really dig your synthwave stuff! i hope you can do a bit of a production break down. Might make some cool content. A longer vid that can be chopped up into teaser shorts/tiktoks etc might be cool. Gotta get em in the tent
pre congrats on 1k!
Here is a list of FREE online AI websites that will let you create images from just a few words. There are more and more of these sites popping up. Here is a list of the best ones that have not cost.
https://dataconomy.com/2022/12/best-free-ai-art-generators-images-trend/
I noticed that this topic is around 12k views now. I didn't expect an art topic to get such traction but it's cool to see
I would say it's a gamechanger for a hobbyist. I don't have a budget for illustrations, artwork etc. but it makes a huge difference to get help creating it.
Well said For those of us who are full time visual artists, this is a game changer. We can now create our own album art, as you have recently shown, and do so quite well, and have it look amazing!! It's yet another great tool that's available to anyone who's willing to give it a go. There is not excuse for bad album/single art anymore. None at all imho.
