I have to agree with Ivan smile.gif Well Said Ben! You are just a fountain of wisdom bud, seriously! I was going to add something but I think you've pretty much covered it. I did come across a great quote from Marty Friedman which seems appropriate here.

"Do everything possible in front of you and those are the things you’re gonna get better at just by not quitting. By not expecting to make great leaps and bounds but an inch here, an inch there, and learning along the way."

~Marty Friedman~

*Oddly enough this quote is almost verbatim what Ben said in the last video chat. Great minds smile.gif

Hmm...have to translate a german saying:

"The way you shout into the forest, the way it will shout back at you" (meaning, however you speak to a person or treat that person, this person will treat you in return).

"I'd rather step into the ring and take a few blows than just standing in the bleachers" (meaning don't hide, step in front of the crowd and do that presentation, speech or song, even if there is the chance you get a bad review...the others will still have to prove they're better or even have the guts to do the same.)

"Cheer up! You're not getting out of this alive anyway!" (Life is too short to waste it with doubts and worries).

What would be yours and how did you come by it? What made you choose it as your guiding principle through life?

Actually" Carpe Diem" translates to "Sieze the day" If I am not mistaken.

Also I was looking at Guitarrero's post. "The way you shout into the forest, the way it will shout back at you" (meaning, however you speak to a person or treat that person, this person will treat you in return).

Here in the U.S. we have the same saying called the Golden Rule and it goes something like,
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Good words to live by. If everyone lived by these words the world would be a better place I think.
With that being said this is a great thread Cos and its very interesting to read all these motto's from all over the world.Great stuff here! nice one man. smile.gif

Peace, Rich....
