Hello all,
Am I doing something wrong? If I render a track in Reaper, upload to SoundCloud, post it in my mentoring thread and realise I haven't rendered it how I wanted to, eg, forgot to mute a team or something, and then render it again with the same file name and repost to my thread it always says the the file isn't available so I have to render again with a different file name. Is this normal?
Cheers
Phil
Hi Phil, I don't have experience with this situation but what I would do is delete the wrong audio, and upload it again to soundcloud, then edit the post and insert the new link. This should solve the problem. Let me know if it works!
Thanks Gab,
The only way I can fix it is to delete the old file from Soundcloud and then render the file again but with a different name. Sometimes when I am rushing I forget to change the name when rendering, (by default it remembers the last name). If I upload with the same file name, even though the file itself is different, I get the "unavailable" message in the Soundcloud on the thread.
As I say I can work around it but it is a ball ache when you forget and you are rushing
Cheers mate.
ah yes, I think that something similar happens with youtube. It's always better to use a different name when replacing files. I use to add the word "fixed".
Cheers, I'm glad it's not something I'm doing
