Interesting! Yes, I also think that being able to tweak amp settings during the mix is priceless. That's why I've been using some amp simulators.

I've been using the trial tests offered by Neural DSP (Plini and Nolly), Mercuriall and STL. I'm honestly impressed, these plug ins offer the same quality than my Fractal AX8 and I can tweak the sound until last export.

Yes nowadays most plugins sound really good, I would say the competition lies in versatility/flexibility, and feel - ie how they respond when you play.

About flexibility - I am having really fun with logic pro, duplicating tracks and using several amps at the same time.

have you ever written anything , it sounds good, and when you record it it just plain sounds like something i am not going to say on this family channel even though it smells like something you might need toilet paper for , but due to the pandemic and not being able to find paper , you just have to use your hand ..ya, like that
I finally got my computer back to rendering and as soon as I can "clean" up the afore mentioned product , I will submit it

If it makes you feel better, everything I record is not a "showcase" material biggrin.gif

But thank God, there are ποστ-ρεψορδινγ techniques that can make it presentable hehe
