Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Hector!

Good job here! This lick is very tricky to learn. I think that you are pretty close here, you just need some more time in order to adjust a bit timing in some sections, and avoid some notes sound too soft or unclear.

As this is a very short lesson, it's great to keep in in your daily routine. Also, working on smaller blocks can be a good idea as well.

Keep going!

It's an 8. wink.gif

Well done! You've got the hang of it and that's saying a lot!!! This is a crazy lick to be sure. Your fingers are very nimble which is great and your mix of legato and picking works well. There is just a pinch of drift in the middle of the fast bit when things get a touch blurry. Keep working on this lick until that fast section sounds so precise you'd think it was a typewriter! smile.gif Solid 8 from me.

Cool,

The faster part has some syncing issues and your playing here does not convey the same smooth flow as Dallton's.

My advice would be to make sure you can play this without any picking at all - using only relaxed hammer-ons and pull-offs. Once you are able to do that, it will sound amazing when you add the picking.

I feel you are pretty close here. It's a 7 from me. Keep up the great work!

Hey there!

First of all I think that for this particualr lesson, your scooped tone doesn't cut that well through the mix. It's a huge contrast to original tone of the lesson. Still taht's very subjective opinion.

I think you make two little mistakes:

1. You pick more notes than Dallton does

2. You pick harder. Please notice that Dallton's picking is so soft that it generally melt's in between legato notes. I think it gives some kind of fluency to the while run.

There is still soame lack of cinfidence audible but that's again the thing of skippign the moment when it all load into muscle memory and head is free for external control smile.gif
