After listening to some of the guitarists recommended on the Jazz Guitarists topic, I thought I should broaden my horizons and listen to some Jazz musicians who don't play the guitar as well. So far I've heard John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Maxim Lubarsky, Dave Brubeck and Charles Mingus, and I'm looking for some more jazz to listen to, so I'd welcome any recommendations you might have. smile.gif

I would go for:
Joe Henderson (sax)
Keith Jarret (piano)
Michael Brecker (sax)
McCoy Tyner (piano)
Bill Evans (piano)
Clifford Brown (trumpet)
Wynton Marsalis (trumpet)
Wayne Shorter (sax)
Chet Baker (trumpet)
Herbie Hancock (piano)

and of course some great singers:

Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday
Eva Cassidy, Take Six, Shirley Horn ....

I think this will keep You busy for a while... smile.gif
