Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Great lesson. Found it difficult to get this take, but satisfying. Feedback appreciated. :)

Hey Frankie! biggrin.gif you are on the good path mate! All you have to manage to achieve now, in my opinion, would be more smoothness and locking the vibrato with the rhythm. It takes some practice, but I'm sure you'll nail it down after working on it a bit more!

Great take Frankie.. it's nice to see this lesson come up again ! smile.gif

You've got the meat of the technique sorted, so the hard part is done. A couple of suggestions for you to take away and add to it is try to substitute the times when you use your index finger to using your 2nd finger (with index finger in front of it, adding strength) as the index finger alone doesn't give as much impact or control.

The other thing is when you slide up to that note with your little finger, try to add your other, unused fingers to the string to add force. I'm a strong believer in utilising our 'idle' fingers to bolster the finger that is fretting the note. You can press them onto the string with the same force so the pressure is increased and gives more vibrato power !! smile.gif

This sounds very good, and great advices from the crew and Ben (he should be most expert for his lesson).

I believe you did a very nice job, but you need to work on those bends a bit more. Try to analyze the movement very slowly, and practice on lower tempos. If you go up to speed fast, you won't be able to control the vibrato, and make it even and synced with the tempo.
