The Daughter Of The Universe

Chapter 14: The Daughter

Part 1: Empyrean Sky
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

So this is it
This is where our journey has taken us
A galaxy of dead planets
Elliptically orbit that shameful star
Moons drift by frozen in sunless darkness
Atrophied in a state of un-birth
The home of The Daughter, We sought
Shrouded in a veil of darkness

As we drift close, I hear voice
Calling, reaching out to me
A sound so beautiful
A voice so pure
Sound that penetrated the dark void
The emptiness of soundless space

As the “Black Infinity” caresses that earth
Scorched with wounds of cold
We look so hopelessly
To the beckoning spire, Cutting the horizon
And as we tread the foreign world
That once for sure, Teemed with life
We can’t help but feel a belonging
As if this world, Is our home

And as I stand here in awe
At the spire, the temple
So many miles tall
Its rotting walls still speak its beauty
Still shine some brilliance
If there was any at all

The gates burst open
Bombard us with its ancient dust
The only light sheers through
As if a new days dawn
We step forward into the threshold
We step forward, back into time
And the sight we saw
So beautiful, So sadly beautiful

The Daughter
Lying...Lifelessly
Her face stricken with sorrow
Her body aching of melancholy

And so we approach
The mythical figure
The creator, the mother to us all
Tears so eternal, fell as if water
Eroding rivers of the pain
She surely so strongly knew

As my hand grazed her face
That blue, Light on the ocean skin
Her tears so suddenly stopped
And her eyes opened to us all
The first sign of her children
The first sign of any hope to come

She rose slowly upon the altar she lay
Her form spoke of years spent to long
Spent to long in pain
She stood with grace, And seemed to shine
Her long hair, Gently wrapping around her thighs

“The journey is not over”
That beautiful voice from the soundless space
So gently spoke to me
“We must begin this war anew”
And her eyes locked tight with mine
I saw the whole cosmos, the whole universe
Created, embedded in her eyes

So this is it
This is where our journey has taken us
A galaxy of dead planets
Elliptically orbit that shameful star
Moons drift by frozen in sunless darkness
Atrophied in a state of un-birth
The home of The Daughter, We sought
Shrouded in a new veil of hope

My heart beats ever so fast
Her presence soothing our very souls
I feel this is something I can die for
The reason all life is here
And with new resolve
I look at my life
And if need be, for her
I’ll die fighting

Basically, if you aren't familiar with my story. In this part, the cast of characters, finally reaches this galaxy, way out in the middle of nothingness, this galaxy has its own stars and planets and moons, but all are dead, due to a burnt out sun. And they are searching basically, for the creator of all the life in the universe to prevent a war that is being waged. And in this song, they finally reach her, and this is there thoughts and reaction through this journey.

EDIT

Some little notes
QUOTE
As we drift close, I hear voice
Calling, reaching out to me
A sound so beautiful
A voice so pure
Sound that penetrated the dark void
The emptiness of soundless space

This is meant to be eerie somewhat, because there is no sound in space, and yet he hears a voice in space.

And...

QUOTE
As the “Black Infinity” caresses that earth
Scorched with wounds of cold
We look so hopelessly
To the beckoning spire, Cutting the horizon
And as we tread the foreign world
That once for sure, Teemed with life
We can’t help but feel a belonging
As if this world, Is our home

The Black Infinity is there method of travel, there ship smile.gif

You capture "space" so well in your lyrics. Truely a great topic might I add. And I thought it was clever when you said he heard hes own voice in space. Like by some diving power he hears something in space, Creepy unsure.gif .

Great Lyrics, One of your best smile.gif
