Hi everyone.
i am currently in the E-J cliff of dover collab. Its going great!
but i do have a problem. i can't manage to record the backing track while playing the song...
example: i use a toneport GX as an audio interface. i use a logitech webcam as my cam
the software of the camera record the sound of my electric guitar through gearbox, but not the backing track in gearbox.
does anyone knows a way to record the video, the guitar AND the backing track at the same time? if it's not possible, how should i sync my guitar with the backing?
thanks a lot everyone, have a nice day and shred HARD

I think it's not possible to record it in the way you wish, the camera software can only use one source of the audio. You think that the audio signal is coming through Gearbox, but the camera software is recording directly from the Toneport, you are just monitoring the signal in Gearbox
IMO it is best to record audio directly to Gearbox, export the mix as WAVE file and then fix video and audio together with Windows Movie Maker or some other video editing software
Dejan just gave you the answer mate. You are going to have to sync both files in whatever video production software you are using. Should not be hard as you are already playing along with the backing. If you add any credits or video fades, you will need to adjust the audio track accordingly. Good luck!
Suggestion: Maybe you beter use the software ableton live. Normaly you get it for free with the toneport. And use windows movie maker to synchronise video and audio.
wow... i don't know why i didn't thing about that before...
anyway, thanks a lot guys! now im back to work on the eric johnson cliff of dover collab
Why don't you record your guitar with Toneport mate and just add the backing in Movie Maker later?
Hmm maybe trying to load the backing track into the GearBox's backing tracks player embedded in the software ?? It might work (I haven't tried recording such takes though just playing along)..
