Me and my drummer released a collab today, and I thought you might enjoy! We're thinking next time my drummer is gonna get a second camera angle as I did.

Hey mate! This sounds killer! I like how natural everything sounds, it sounds REAL and that's not very found in modern metal bands. I also like a lot the vocals, who is singing?
Congrats on the great production!
Maybe you can help us with this: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=55039

Thanks! I have learned a lot about mixing and I am thrilled to hear your opinion. I was definitely going for an organic drum sound. You are actually hearing us play over Demon Hunter's song so that is the lead vocalist Ryan Clark. So it's basically a cover with my guitar and my drummer out in front.

Ah, now I get it! I'm checking the original version. I think that your mix fits really well with the backing song. You add that organic feel that makes me enjoy even more your version.

Yeah, most covers I see have the original mix way too far in the background. I like to enjoy a cover by hearing the original as well so the mix is full. I was able to tweak it so Demon Hunter fans could still hear the added guitar and drums on top.

Thanks Todd - will have to check it out - i've heard of Red Giant before. I use Sony Vegas Pro 12. Most of these effects can be made in the cheap version Movie Studio by Sony. The hype is high because of the camera movements. I am simulating it of course, but all I am doing is zooming in at post production and turning the display. I told my drummer to get his second camera out next time so we can get 2 angles on him as well!
It's so funny how many people compliment the beard. I love it too!
