Ipod Shuffles, problems

Apr 29 2008, 02:50 AM	GMC:er Posts: 2.361 Joined: 27-April 07 From: London,ont	Hey GMC!.. as most of you could probably guess ( and i bet its the same with everyone else).. im a huge music fiend.. therefore my ipod is one of my most prized possesions.. because im poor i have one of those little matchbook shuffles.. cost me about $45 and im beginning to think thats all they are worth . So ive had about 5 of these in the past year due to the same stupid little problem and its beginning to make me real mad! Heres whats happening step 1: plug ipod into dock Step2: Itunes says they have a new update Step3: smikey2006 says.. sure update.. why not.. Step4: itunes updates and restarts ipod Step5: Smikey2006 goes to bed.. awakes and wants to go for a walk.. grabs his ipod.. puts on headphones.. and alas no music.. Step6: Smikey2006 looks at his ipod and notices a light that is supposed to be green is blinking orange and green.. Step7: Smikey2006 has no idea what is wrong and plugs ipod back in and resets it.. but it never works again (my apoligies for refering to myself as smikey2006 ) so.. i am once again musicless.. and angry.. has anyone had any experence with this? im really fed up with my ipods being corrupt by an update APPLE SENDS ME!.. i either want a solution.. or some free ipods.. I have one and have had no problems at all Sounds like you have downloaded some kinda virus into your ipod, try doing a google search of your problem and see if it has happened to anyone else. Personally, i think iPods are very cheapily made, Zune makes reliable ones, and so to does Sansa. I got a Sansa and it works great, and there not that expensive. The IPod Touch and the newer 80 and 160GB IPods are made more sturdy than the older ones. I think you'll be fine Marcus. The IPod Touch is good but I wanted 160GB space more lol. It was recently upgraded and now in decent form, but its nowhere near as good and editable as iTunes. If that doesn't bother you, then Zune is the way to go.
