Hello Raddamantis! What kind of harmonics do you reffer? It seems that you reffer to natural harmonics. This harmonics are commonly used to tune a guitar but thery are also and obvioulsy used in amusical context. They are generated when you pluck a string while holding a fretting hand fingert tip just above the fret, touching the string very gently to ensure that it never makes contact with the fret. You can start practicing it in the fret 12 of every string. Your picking hand must play the note normally... let me know if now you can make it sound!
Hola Raddamantis! Saludos! -------------------- My lessons
