Glad to see you back! Sometimes an "unwanted" break can do some good though. We use the internet a lot now adays and spent a lot of our time there, but sometimes being without it for a bit allows us to take a step back, re-evaluate and just reset our mind a bit.

I remember in 2008 (and things have changed even just in those 13 years) I had a job in Copenhagen, but no place to live, so I lived in a room in a hostel where we weere 6-8 people sleeping there. I lived there for about 3 weeks, then had a hotel room for week by myself and then finally moved into a room in someone's apartment. But in those 3 weeks most of my time was spent outside (even when working), walking around the city, sitting on a bench for a bit. It was before internet on phones became a big thing and before smart phones too. I sometimes say to people (and myself) that I miss that time and I'd like to experience that feeling again. I'll probably take 5 days in a cabin in the summer, but I'll of course bring my phone, maybe a laptop etc., but still just a change from my normal scenery.

Thanks smile.gif The Yellow one is very affordable for a new guitar. It's $499 brand new which is great smile.gif Plays well and sounds great. The neck is a bit thick, but still very playable smile.gif

It was rough, but times were different even just those 13 years ago. No smart phones about etc., so it wasn't THAT big of a change as it might be this day and age.

It's staggering how much has changed in so little time. The world practically began "anew" in 1995 with the expansion of the interweb and then was born again just after smart phones started the next data revolution. I am curious to see what the next watershed even may be smile.gif

Technological advancement is interesting in many ways (and scary in some!). Maybe at some point we'll just have something connected straight to our brains that we can control somehow - like access to the internet from brain power. Maybe that's too sci-fi. laugh.gif But we do have mind-controlled prosthetics, I think, so maybe it's not THAT far off.

I've been trying to think of ways to motivate myself to get more healthy, lose weight and all that. Life can be a drag at times, but I'd like to live to be 100 years old and hopefully see much more development in space exploration. I'm particularly interested in seeing if we can figure out if there is life on Jupiter's moon Europa. Or maybe the moon Titan, which has flowing rivers and liquid (albeit not in the H2O form we know here). Lots of interesting things to be discovered even that close to our earthly home. smile.gif

ELON MUSK is working on a plan/product to connect all of our brains directly to technology. Some folks thought he was joking at first, but nope. He is dead serious. smile.gif It's called Neuralink. He thinks it may be able to fix everything from depression to cognitive decay to parkinsons. As our society continues to age, and the largest cohort (baby boomers born after world war II) continues to age as one big chunk, things like this become more important. We are on track, as a planet, to be awash in old people and so being able to maintain the cognitive function of this group is a matter of global importance.
