It's my first year here and folks here just say "you'll get used to it" and that's about it. I really didn't expect all this but I'm new to Florida. It's just part of the culture here to expect to get semi flooded every single time a big storm comes ashore. They just shrug it off. I guess I just have to get used to it. It's the power fluctuations that I hate. Storm comes, power goes off, heat is 100 degrees etc. Welcome to Florida
