For being Chinese made, this guitar is pretty slick. The frets were installed in the US, and pickups are Suhr originals, which are fantastic pickups.

Experience tells me that you shouldn't rely on brand - but on the personal impression that is carefully tested, and if you know what you want then you did a good job! Many firms often make compromises - poor quality wood compensate with quality electronics, which can, sometimes, be a double-edged sword ..
