No absolutely not - as long as your lessons hold good quality. The only way for us to tell is if you upload something.

Before doing it on this board - I suggest you upload a video of yours on the uploads bard so people can give you a little feedback - and let you know if you are ready! smile.gif

i think it will be intersting . to have a point of view of somebody who is younger then the avreage teacher.

and maybe you can teach it more simple then alot of people dosen't mean you will teach easy material

i'll try and post a video sometime soon but sadly being 14 years old i still ofcourse live with my parents who are completely against the idea for who knows why "dad do you think i could make video lessons for the guitar master class thing, i could get paid if they're good enough"
"absolutely not!"
"why?"
" because i said so, that's just the way it is i'm your fatehr and i don't want you posting videos of yourself on the internet"

he has 1 reason but only because he doesnt understand the internet i will write up a tab sometime soon i guess although thats the long boring part i don't enjoy -.- i would like to know if my songs are good etc.

I would show your dad some examples from the other instructers on here, that way he will probably (hopefully) understand what you are tying to do.

He is only thinking of your safety, once he realises you are not wanting to show yourself (so much as your guitar) or to give out any personal information, he may come round to your way of thinking.

Also, enrol your dad as your film director - get him to film your lesson - dont tell him you want to upload it, get him involved in making something with you, so he can see how safe it is - then I am sure he will be all for you doing it.

i don't want you posting videos of yourself on the internet

I can understand ones parents (being one myself) could think so, I'd oppose to that myself if I wasn't in full control of it. Posting a video and get paid... that does in fact sound rather suspicious.
And us parents are always thinking the worst. wink.gif
I suggest you show you dad this site, suggest to him you record a video only showing the guitar and your hands, no head shots keeping it completely anonymous. Let him view the video and get an OK from him to post it here.
Good luck!

awesome thanks for the ideas i'll run this by my dad sometime today i typed up a song and sent it to kris so if anyone else wants to see it i can email it to you or something and you could tell me if you think its good enough for a video lesson because for all i know maybe it sucks lol i havent had any serious negative feed back but then again all the people that have seen are friends etc who are pretty bad at guitar and are blown away so i'd really appreshiate all feedback be it negative or positive i've been working on the song for a year so its time i see the fruits of my labour

i just phoned my dad... he is totally against it and says he understands it may be safe but hes using the saying you need to learn to walk before you run which i understand but i want to know if its good! so kris i'm going to try and make a video of this without my dad noticing but theres no way you can pay me and i'm doing this for the experience nto the money so unless i can somehow get my dad on my side for this ill post videos and i dont need to be paid

I didn't think it was bad. I think there were some points which need working on, but not bad.
Hey, at least you've actually put up a video, that's what counts. Now, you can see from what people tell you, what you're doing wrong, and what could be improved.

Cheers

well can i comment??

rythem my friend is number one in music!! first of all.

i didn't get to see the picture but i heard the sound.

phrasing is nice tough not with allot intersting direction.
unforutnly you have the symptome of what allot of metal players have . making it fast and complicated dosen't make it intersting . try to get a direction because it is really cool what your playing but it could look also like showing off.

i think you should work on cleaning the sound try to play it slow and then after it is clean push the speed up

now for the compliments.

i think you have nice technique , very impresive for your age . i think you combined nice generes in your "song" .

by the way i wanted to tell you that it seems like your father dosen't really know much about the internet . so how he is going to find out if you published it???

another thing in my first lesson i took it really hard when kris told me to work out and the other people critsized me and i felt like "yeah let's see you guys to a lesson" but it made me understand that yeah i am not ready yet to be on the site but i will keep publishing and slowly slowly i will achive it.

You maybe don't think i am much guitar player to give you tips . but i think i am much person to tell you that i am here only because i got up every time and tryied again after everytime kris told me it is not good enough . just ask him!!

Good luck my friend and i think we will hear more from you

Your friend

awesome thanks a ton love to hear more input on my song although if you're going to say something like climate did "there are some points that need working on" why wouldnt you tell me exactly what those points were? no offence to climate or anything but i would just prefer some more exact critism constructive or not

and btw i have rhythem guitar for the song too but i can't play it at the same time so i will eventually get them both recorded and try to sync them together
