Guitar is by a VST by the way. I don't own an acoustic anymore. Piano and singing by me.
It's in Danish and COMPLETELY different from what I usually write.
Quick translation that I did for Todd (without the rhymes):
Where do we go, when our time is over? I want to go to the ocean of stars, where I will have my peace. In the light of Orion's Belt, you will see me wander free.
A shooting star in the darkest of night Is all I have to give you now Cause my words will long have lost their glow And you have surely forgotten my voice But when you're in a quiet moment, Or wander through the lost valley of memories I hope they will remind you of me Of us - and that we were you and I
You know where I have gone, now that my time was over To the ocean of stars, where I will have my peace. In the light of Orion's Belt, you will see me wander free.
And when tears have rolled from your cheek to the open ocean You will find your peace and let memories remind you That life goes on and time only moves on direction And that which it cannot heal, we take with us when we set sail Cause life goes on and time only moves on direction So I hope that memories will remind you That time goes on and life only moves one direction Till the harbour of the stars calls you
You know where I have gone, now that my time was over To the ocean of stars, where I will have my peace. In the light of Orion's Belt, you will see me wander free.
Na na na na na na na!
So when your time is over, and you've reached the end of the road We shall meet again at the harbour of the stars
You know where you're going, when your time is over To the ocean of stars, where you will find your peace. You know where you're going, when your time is over To the ocean of stars, where you will find your peace. We know where we're going, when our time is over To the ocean of stars, where we will find our peace. We know where we're going, when our time is over To the ocean of stars, where we will find our peace. In the light of Orion's Belt, In the light of Orion's Belt we wander now In the Milky Way's faraway place in the falling stardust In the Milky Way's faraway place in the falling stardust

Very nice, I like it. The subtle changes in dynamics hold the listener's interest for the whole 8 and a half minutes. Good job on recording the acoustic guitar. Only one suggestion: maybe a bit more reverb on the vocals to match the reverb on the drums ?

The acoustic guitar is a VST played by my keyboard though as stated I don't own an acoustic guitar myself anymore But thanks for the words otherwise

The vst for the guitar is pretty darn spiff!!! We are not the most forgiving folks if something just sounds bad, but the guitars sound quite good! They can pass for real guitars as far as I can tell.
Very well done on keeping it interesting. It's not easy to keep folks attention for 3 minutes, much less 8!! Todd

Must agree not everybody can make a 9 min. song and keep things interesting.
I didn't hear anything "bad" in any way but I'm sure you'll agree more time could have been spent on arranging to make it sound even bigger or diverse in itself. Your chord relations, musical form, lyrics...I can safely say you're already a matured song writer (even though the search never ends )+have the skills to use instruments for this and should move experiments/developments to production from now on.
