> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate,

I couldn't compare this new take with the previous one because it's now deleted. I wanted to check how much the sync issue have improved. By the way, this element is still the thing to improve on this take. The picking passages are not sounding totally clean and precise so you still need to isolate them and work on your picking technique.

Your tone, and other techniques sound good here, just focus on fast alternate picking.

Keep on the hard work!

Hi Peter, as Gabriel said, there is room for improvement with your hand coordination - mainly during that run at 0:12.

Aside from that, I notice that you don't hang on to notes as long as you could, which means that you're missing out on getting the benefit of adding vibrato to long notes like at 00:07. You briefly play it but slide out quickly. Also notice that Marcus holds the opening bend a little longer before adding the extra notes.

That's mainly it - just work on your coordination and holding notes for longer - it will make your fingers stronger for sure smile.gif

Hey again Peter! smile.gif

I would like to underline 2 things, guys mentioned above. I wanted to compare with previous take. It's always worth to add a quick link to a previous take so we can clearly hear the progress. Of course unless it has been deleted already.

Those two things are sync and notes length. That's what seems to be most visible from things to be fixed. Your faster runs are not clean enough yet and you tend to cut the sustain/rhythm values of some other notes, taking your fingers off too fast.

at 0:06 and 0:14 be carefull with this bend. It tends to vary between some kind of "weird" pitch range. Doesn't reach the proper note pich.
