Hi there is it anyone who has a good tip on how to make a good bass sound without a bass, I have tried vst,but I have no keybord and sucks on programming a good bass line,is there any plugin or program that can convert a guitar played bassline from wav to midi or some good pitchshifter/octaver. I have tried Guitar Rigs octaver but with no good results.

You have tried out the best mothods to record a bass without an actual bass and you were not satisfied...why not buy a real bass?

It mustn't be the most expenive one to get good results and playing another instrument is fun and broadens your view on music!

You can try using Virtual Bassist VST, it has decent bass samples, and premade grooves.

I am using Sample Tank for such things, but I also have a master keyboard so I don't have to programm everything. I would also recommend to either get a cheap bass or a master keyboard (this would be around 50 euros), it definitely makes live easier.

Hmm Virtual Bassist VST has some nice bass sounds and grooves , though its limited. I don't think you need a keyboard for programming that, just type in the bass line with your mouse (same one you would play on guitar/keyboard) and then assign it to a good bass vst like trilogy.
