Hello guys, this topic came to my mind a few days ago. If you could only use a string in the guitar, which one would it be? It doesent have to be your favorite, but there must be a reason why you choose that string, so please tell us about it. smile.gif

I know Slash's first guitar had only 1 string, but i never knew which! laugh.gif

Anyways, mine would be the G String (laugh.gif), why? because i love doing bending, artificial harmonics, slides, natural harmonics, etc. on it! i do them almost exclusively on that string! biggrin.gif

So...Whats yours? wink.gif

E string, tuned to D or C. Its impossible to run out of riffs to play on E string. Pinched it, tremolo, slow chugs etc.

Thick E string, so it doesn't break too easy when I hang myself.

I voted for the E (thick) string cause i like the low tone and i could still play some heavy riffs with it by using tremolo picking to it biggrin.gif Have to admit though just having one string would be really hard to deal with it would get old after a short while. laugh.gif

Low E string would be mine. You can't solo on 1 string, and especially not SWEEP sad.gif so i guess i would take low E to at least be able to riff biggrin.gif

I voted for G
Because With one string you cannot tell your friend you are playing on a guitar.
So prove to him I play on a guitar I choose G string so that I can argue with him "It is still a Guitar"
