Hi guys,

I finally decided yesterday that I just needed to get myself this very nicely maintained Cherry Sunburst Brian Moore DC-1 custom guitar from 1999 smile.gif. Schaller locking tuners, mahogany body with quilted maple top and a sustain which goes on forever .....

It's outfitted with SD SHPR-1 pickups currently, which give me together with the two push-pull knobs 4 different configurations per pickup, which is great for gigging. I love the p90 sound I can get from it and together with the series / parallel settings it gives great humbucker sounds as well. The rails alone give a fairly ok Strat-like sound (more 2 and 4 positions on a strat), however I have my EJ strat to cover that part anyways wink.gif . Good thing is that I also have the two original SD pickups that came with the guitar in 1999.

It really plays like butter, very smooth, fast and with a neck which is not too thick and slim. Had to get used to the headstock, but I think I like it even more now than any of the other guitars I have smile.gif

Here are some pics:

Wow! That plugin location is awesome! The guitar has a beautiful top. Good deal with all the tones you can get! I see what you mean about the headstock, but you're not looking at it anyway! wink.gif Good score, man!

I love that guitar. The plug is well placed and the headstock is great. It's an unusual guitar and that's why this guitar is so great. Congrats !!!
