Let's take our TRIPEGGIO one last time and do it ASCENDING. So you already know the shape from the last two Quick Licks, the difference is that this type we are marching it UP the neck instead of DOWN. You may notice that going UP is just more difficult. That's normal. Descending bits are often a bit easier on the hand. Ascending bits can feel like climbing up hill. Keep it at a workable pace. No need to rush it and lose control. Speed will happen with repetition. This is the kind of lick that you can eventually really shred the crap out of it.

*NOTE: Keep it smooth and under control. If you find you are losing control, slow down just a pinch.

BACKGROUND / COMMENTS: This is a very fun lick and comes in handy for working up some crazy speed as well. Give it a whirl!!

Hit me up with any questions!

Nailed it!! You got the ECON picking bit as well as made use of the RUNT finger!!! I think I cheated on that one even in the video! So super well done on that. I'd take this one done either way, but very glad to see you using the Blistered Runt for all its worth!!!
You synch up the picking/frett hands well and this isn't always easy with econ which sometimes throws folks off. You manage the picking, synch and pinky work all at the same time. NICE!! This one works all the way up and down the neck. Just don't wear the little runt out to the point where he is so blistered that you cant practice anymore!!!! You just..
LEVELED UP!!!! You remain our TOP DAWG!!

Well played!! Yet another tricky bit. This one also requires a wealth of technique be brought to the fore in order to play this properly. The pinky and sticking the landing with it, also critical in this bit as well. Deftly played as usual and impressive. I can see you getting better with each and every one of these. keep it up!!! You just..

PERFECT. You've adapted yet again right on the money. This one goes up!! You've already done DOWN and the starter version with zero problem. You can play this lick upside down and backwards in your sleep. I think I'm going to require you to play one of the next ones behind your head or with a blindfold or something smile.gif

Great job on timing, synch, pace, etc. Every single thing I hope for in each Quick Lick, is there. The upcoming licks are a bit more challenging and I'm looking forward to seeing you play them
You just..
LEVELED UP!!!!

It sounds like your pinky may have missed the first hammer on but the rest sounded good! This is yet more of the QUASIPEGGIO to prep your hands for doing sweeps. You got the picking right which is the big part of this one. It's about doing two down strokes (econ picking) and then doing a non pick strike for the hammer on pull off with the pinky. BTW, did you ever get a chance to shoot a pic or vid of your pedals ? You can point the same camera that you shoot vids with at the pedals if you like. Back to the lick, you got this!!

You just.,.

LEVELED UP!!
