Hey guys, what are some good songs to learn to practice fingerpicking on acoustic. Any style is fine, I just decided to learn this style and so far I've learned parts of Nothing Else Matters and Stairway To Heaven. Other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

There was a nice song by Mr. Big where Paul Gilbert played fingerstyle with a weird tunning (E string tuned on F), I remember it being fun to play, a little cheesy but fun, at least for me, my god this was long ago, can't remember how the song goes, or how to play it.

Anybody know what I am talking about?

Anyway, if someone posts the answer you should check it out, I think it is a good fingerstyle song to help you develop this style, but judging from your name (Unleash the Shred), you might think the song is too cheesy, however it is played by one of the greatest shredders of all time Paul Gilbert.

To Be With You or Green Tinted Sixties Mind (the acoustic version) maybe?

Anyways, I listen to anything except country or emo music so I don't mind what style, I like Mr. Big. Thanks guys.

If you want easy, do the intro and verse of Brother, and feel free to check out al there work on youtube, most are fingerpicked songs. The band's name is Racoon.

Mr. Big - Just Take My Heart

Really nice tune IMO, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n45uuCjS9FQ...feature=related

When I feel like playing some fingerplucking I'll definitly go for that one.

Any other suggestions? It would be cool if we could get a big list of songs eventually.
