This has skyrocketed on youtube and I have watched it close to twenty times and I still laugh each and every viewing.
Enjoy.

I think the "sound enhancement pedal" is the best part. "I better turn this back on..."
classic and brilliant.

I am not really a huge fan of DF eithier. I guess TTFAT is an ok song, and Herman Li is def. nastier than I am on the axe but I think their live performances leave a lot to be desired.
Especially with Li, he will pay so much attention the crowd but not what he is playing and it turns it into crap.

I don't get the sooo old comments and the dead horse crap...
How old is this? 2-3 years?
Jeez... Better start throwing away 90% of my cds them.
If someone shared some Randy Rhoads video would you point out how old it is?
Is Eruption beating a dead horse?
You entered a Herman Li thread.... What did you expect?

So?
Most of us dont have the entire board memorized. There are new people every day. Did you read EVERYTHING prior to signing up when you joined? I sure as heck didnt.
So anytime someone asks for advice on a guitar or amp we should "dead horse" them?
Anytime someone compliments Muris we should tell them their comments are old?
Messageboards are full of redundancy. Its just the way it is. I personally dont care to see people take the time to share something, anything, and get that kind of response. But hey, I don't run the show. So I can't stop it.
But man is it rude.
If I were the new guy and got a response like that I'd be wondering if this is the place I'd want to hang out at....

Guys - I do also suggest that someone suggesting that the thread is a 'dead horse' isn't something to get in to an argument about. It is also off topic. Chill.

Agree 100%...
So with the risk of being cursed at I'll post this parody which probably have been posted 349 times before? It's Jake E Lee, but the best part is Ozzy running around in the background clapping hands, doing weird noises.....
Posted by: jer Feb 18 2009, 05:18 PM
hahaha!!!!!
Thats great!
Posted by: ztevie Feb 18 2009, 05:21 PM
And this old Santana one is a favorite! Them drummers are awesome!!
Dead horsies or not, it's still funny. I've seen that Jake E Lee one before too, but it cracks me up every time. The clapping Ozzy makes it hilarious

hahahaha good times...
although im not a big fan of DF stuff...i did like them for a while, but once you hear one song, you heard them all!!
the one thing i like about dragonforce, is that it is exposing a new generation and a new audience of kids (and adults) to metal and the guitar...im sure through dragonforce many kids discovered the bands and artists that influenced dragonforce and what not
also, they may not have the best live show, but their studio producing is top notch
Posted by: Red Apr 16 2009, 05:57 PM
I stopped to like DF once they released their new album, i honestly thought that it sounded just like a game soundtrack, the bad kind of them to.

I'm probably the only person from GMC that has actually seen DragonForce live, and if I may say they brought the freakin house down.

Interesting vids. I think a few here have actually seen DF live. I can't recall how impressed they were though. I don't think that they are hopeless in terms of talent. They get stick because there are musicians that are SO much better. If I was a pro I'd want to sweep like Govan or Loomis or whoever, not Li. Also - you may want to edit for language
Frank Gambale - now there's a man that can sweep!

I've seen them too. It was a great show too I even had a chat with herman and sam after the concert at the band and met a nice girl there But that was already quite some time ago, before I played guitar. But it kind of inspired me to do so.

Ive seen them live too. several times. it was horrible. If they are going to try and sell themselves as shredders, or even musicians, they better back it up on stage. they cant, so they are garbage.

Do they claim to be the best guitarists in the world? No, that's what 14 year olds claim about them after playing too much guitar hero. Look at them as a bunch of guys having fun rather than guitar gods, because that's what they are. I'll probably check them out again at wacken, may be all the fame made them go nuts
