I hadn't been on here in a while because my account ran out and I couldn't get a new one but i finally did! I haven't stop playing guitar and this is some of the newer stuff i've been doing. I still have a lot to learn and I'm glad to be back to learn more!

Hey man! Welcome back smile.gif What are your current guitar interests?

my interests are blending al the styles i like into one like death metal, black metal and neo classical.i wanna be able to have the sweeps and speed picking partsbut im not constant on them at high speeds.i also need to learn more about where to place them correctly and accuratly. i also wanna get away from the bluesy sound, not because i dont think its important but because i dont wanna be stuck only on that. ive been playing for a year and 8 months and i dont.know if im progressing at a decent pace for.my goal.

Well, you need to get a good grasp on theory and technique, oriented in the direction you mentioned smile.gif

I suggest dividing your practice time into:

- Theory - learning scale positions, chords and the relationship between notes and chords
- Technique - focusing on alternate picking, sweep and legato
- Learning musical contexts which will expand your vocabulary in the desired direction

What do you think about all these? I could help you out if you'd like smile.gif
