Still struggling Ben, haven't had enough time to nail it. 75 bpm is best I can play clean now:/ Especially the ending is puzzling:P

Wouldn't worry about it, Marek.

Given 7 days to learn something like this from scratch isn't going to always result in a perfect recording at the original bpm. Just use the pressure behind having 7 days to learn it to really push your technique and limits, to see how much you can achieve in that period. The aim here is to progress, not to have a REC-ready submission at the end of the 7 days smile.gif (of course, you can continue to practice that particular lesson past the deadline to further improve your technique, which is advisable if it has highlighted weaknesses in your playing).

The difference between this and REC is that with REC, you have no time limit in which to learn the lesson, and you submit your take once you believe that you are playing it to the best of your ability, having used up as much time as needed to get there. Once you can't figure out how to improve further, or reckon you've perfected it, you post your REC (and then return to it after hearing the criticism). Here, you have 7 days, you practice your heart out for 7 days, then post your progress.

And yes, the ending is very puzzling!

No worries my friend.. time is not always on our side. A take from you at any speed is always a pleasure ! smile.gif

Dark Dude has a great point with his post too.

Okey dokey here I am attempting 80 bpm. Love this interlude especially that first arpeggio very useful

Be warned I've only used my web cam for this as I am time poor at the moment and couldn't get the backing track into reaper easily so. (by the way are excuses accepted up here on the mountain sensei Ben cause I've brought quite a few with me) biggrin.gif

Here we GO!!!

Hey.. very cool. I didn't know you were learning this Task smile.gif

Looks and sounds good to me.. good co ordination between hands which is what it was about. I did notice though, that very few of you guys who did this taks picked those arpeggios with alternate picking.. most of you cheated and used sweeps. Very naughty.. wink.gif

To answer your question.. No, excuses are not accepted. You are training to be a warrior and warriors have no need for excuses ph34r.gif

Cheerio,

Hey D-Meister.. I hope all is ok with you now smile.gif

It's good to have you back.

The take's a little messy in terms of hand synch but if you had more time I'm sure you'd have been able to dominate it cool.gif

Feel free to jump in and do Task 4, you don't have to do all the Tasks, unless you want to, of course smile.gif
