We plan on taking the site offline Saturday morning (tomorrow) for maintenance. This is because we are experiencing performance problems where things slow down.

Our engineer estimates it will take around 2-5 hours.

While we are down please refer to our facebook page for updates.

And youtube for videos.

Thanks for understanding.

Our developer is still tweaking - but our hope is that not only will this maintenance window solve the performance problems we had, but also help us speed tings up even more. (alternate picking speed is still up to you though! wink.gif )

Phew guys... you know Murphy's law 'Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.' I can confirm it's still valid.

Basically we did a mistake when installing the new OS, which gave us the booting problem mentioned on facebook.

The hosting only wanted to help us reinstall everything, which would have given us a longer downtime (considering the amount of data we got). After lots of perseverance I got them to connect a boot drive to our machine - which basically allowed us to run the server in recovery mode without erasing all the data.

So once this was done, our developer could start working on the planned maintenance this morning.

I have added 3 extra days of paid access time to all students [with paid access].

Again, thanks so much for your patience!
