Thanks for all those who helped me decide on the headphone in the thread I created http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=32715

I went in the store and they had a massive end of year sale going on ..

So I bought the following:

- AKG K141 MKII - $200 AUD
- Shure SM58 - $150 AUD
- K & M 21070 Mic stand - $50 AUD

looking good. Let us know how they actually 'feel' on your head... I'm thinking about buying new headphones as well.

Hey Rik, Even Cael requested a review too so in short here it is:

I only used it for the first time last night for a good 1 hour or so .. they were comfortable.. BUT ..i can see how this will depend from person to person (ear size etc) .. I didnt spend too much time at the store but I did try it on for about 5-6 minutes to get a feel of it.. When you goto the store .. The trick is to set it properly on your head and then "leave it there" ... If you have to adjust it more than 2-3 times or so , then it should be a clear indication that it's not right for you... Plus the discount on this was good, so that effected my decision a bit .. Sound wise, it is warm and I've tested it with very high volume and the sound did'nt tear.. If volume is really really high, then the person next to you can listen to it a fair bit .. but im talking very high volume.. Overall, it seems ok but then I've only used it once .. Let me abuse it for a month and see if my opinions change smile.gif .. Hope this helps ..

p.s - And Sorry Cael .. They didnt have AKG240 MKII in stock, so i couldn't really compare .. but the dude suggested this one was better but obviously that was a sales pitch tongue.gif

Very good man, all these things are a must for a working musician, and you got some standard legendary stuff there. Congrats! smile.gif
