Christmas is coming - we all need to tell Santa what we want for christmas...

So with that in mind, what would YOU say is the best bit of kit YOU have - is it your guitar, your amp, the latest pedal...or some other gadget?...perhaps some computer recording software - or training package?

If you were advising someone else to buy just 1 item that you feel is essential to being a guitarist, what would it be and why?. Not what you want - what you already have and recommend whole heartedly.

In my case - I would say a Variax guitar, if there was one Item I could not be without its that - since I got one I have no longer got any desire or lust for any other guitar. Prior to then I wanted all kinds of guitars, I could not make up my mind from a multitude of options and everything seemed to have me yearning to buy one. Now I am completely happy and not the slightest bit interested in any other guitar. Mind you my POD XTLive is also right up there as a totally essential.

Well we never got much interest in this topic did we?
I was so looking forward to reading about all your great guitar stuff!!

so did anyone get anything fantastic for Christmas?...did Santa bring you something to help you play? (post pics...lol)

I got absolutely nothing guitar related at all. (but I cannot think of anything that I want)

so tell me what I should be lusting after?
what will help me become the guitar player I want to be?

Actually there is something I want, some software program that will be my drummer. I have tried to find something before but its all very confusing - I dont know what a sequencer is - do I need one?

Honestly, I need new picks, strings, and a set up on my guitar. I got some buzzing, but I don't know how to adjust the action on a floyd sad.gif.
My amp is a 30-watt Randall, w/a 12" Celestion Rocket 50, it's pretty good, but I have get a much better amp.
I have 1 effect pedal, it's a 95Q Crybaby Wah, it got an adjustable sweep and a 16 decible gain boost switch.

My favorite is my Dean Vendetta 4F guitar. That thing sound great!! It's probably from the neck through design, maple neck and Mahogany wings, and Dimarzio Super Distortion pickups. And the floyd stays in tune great! If only I could get rid of the buzz sad.gif.

I had a Floyd rose on my last guitar - it kept tune perfectly once it was set up right but I did suffer fret buzz occasionally with it- they are complete bas***ds to set up correctly

You may find some help with this page:

I would not have another one if you paid me !! lol
mind you when I had one, I never ever once used the whammy bar, - now I miss not having one as I feel I could finally make use of it - I was always too busy playing to use one - now I find I have more time to spare during my play - if you know what I mean.
