Ok, So I'm well aware I suck at making drums sound good, or eve bad So I would like some advice from you more experience members that are used to drum software/ machines. Here is a song I made, Basically, just tell me how I should improve the drums and whatnot, And if you want, comment on the riffs as well

Riffing: Holy stringrust, that was awesome!!!

Drums: I'm at work and have a bad speaker (yes, 1 speaker and it's bad!) but the snare sound sounds strange here although that might be the speaker too

But I'll give it another listen when I get home on my studio monitors and give you my opinion later

Love the guitars!

What do you use for drums on this? The snare is pretty nonexistant.
My advice is get something like ezDrummer or BFD and run them through some good compressors/EQ's.

nice editing for the drums uncreator but there is something you have to do it specially
to the kick bass all notes have the same sensevity or velocity .you have to balance these notes

Riff is awsome, but yeah the drums sound a little eletric and pretty flat. I agree with hisham that its impordant to humanize drums, so each hit isnt exactly the same velocity ( BFD2 got a funktion called humanize) Sounds like you know how you want the drums to sound like, but you need the right software and a bit of tweaking to get a better result.

Could you provide us with just the guitar track and the midi data for the drums? I would like to try som alternative arrangements on the drums. As Trond already has said, you're either missing the snare or putting it way too low. The drums also seem to miss the hi hat in large parts of the song. I would also cut back on all the double bass drum in the song. Use it in the right places instead of all the time.

You need to set up a good groove for the song on the drums as the base of your song. If you're using any of the more modern drum samplers I would recommend using the standard beats from the library and modifying them. If they are well made (which they usually are) they include alot of those little things we non drummers miss out on. That way you can get both whatever bass drum arrangement you want and those small drummer touches that make all the difference.

I'd echo what has been said already - you have a case of machine gun bass drums going on here - at the very least try and vary the velocities of individual hits randomly so they don't all sound the same, plus no snare and no subtle variations - all of this can be addressed by tweaking the midi add nauseum, or the quick way is to get EZDrummer and pick from its large library of grooves. If you get EZD though, for this you would need the DFH expansion pack as well to get this kind of sound.

Powerful riff though, this deserves some good drums

Alright thanks guys, Starting to work on it now.

I use acoustica beatcraft, which i really love cause its easy for me to use (And I am very drum challenged), Ill mess around with the EQ, Would adding a slight chorus or reverb be good for the double-bass?
