So was walking the pups the other day, and had a little run in with a Bear. We turned a corner on the trail and there was Yogi about 100 yards off walking our way. It was a black bear and the dogs must have made him uneasy with all the barking and stuff ( I love that I have 3 big dogs ) and he turned around in the opposite direction thank god... as did I and ran like a mad women back to the truck and home. Now I had my camera, but common sense, and well, just plain fear told me that a photo op just didn't seem like the best idea at that moment
A friend of mine was driving up the new section of highway the other day, in his little Honda Civic hatchback, and ran into Yogi also. However he figured he'd take the photo op.
I think he was trying to hitch a ride
Came in for a closer look
Yes Yogi is on the hood of the car. You can see the paw print on the windshield... CRAZY!!!
"Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?"
A little too close for comfort for me but thought you guys would get a kick out of the pics. Lately around here the bears are everywhere. Wildlife officers have had to tranquilize 4 and remove them from town. Between the wolf sightings and all the bears I think I'll just sit at home and play guitar LOL!!!
See Bondy, I told ya I pretty much lived in the woods
Wow, what an awesome story & pics.
Bears are wonderful animals, but they are so scarce where I live. They are protected, but truth is it's extreamly unlikely to encounter one in person even when venturing in the woods. Plus they are smaller.
Jeez!!! And around here all we get is Foxes and Red Kites!!!!!
what a cute one, I'm surprised you didn't adopt him
That bear is so cute I love him
Absolutely amazing - or should I say scary?!
Nice! I've gotta take a trip to Canada in my life! I'd love to have a bear on my carhood
He was cute
Thats a crazy story, the pics your friend decided to take are amazing though. seems like a very calm, but very curious bear. I would also want to stay indoors and play guitar lol
Wow, that must be a scary experience
But the bear is really lovely haha, and he seems to be very calm
Wow! Lucky for you you have puppies to take care of you rok! I wouldn't mind meeting with the bear when he is in a good mood and not hungry, but getting to close to them in natural surrounding is a little too much experience Pictures are awesome - thanks! ))
