Hey marcus can u gimme more info on that, do have many picks or is the same one? crap if it is 20 years wow man. I have had so many friends who started playing go like im never gonna lose this pick, and how it their first pick etc etc and end losing it anyway. Yup, this pick is 20 years old, back then when I discovered those picks I bought 3 of them, but I lost one on tour sometime in the 90's, so I only have 2 left. The great thing about those picks is the fact that they give you absolute control about the tone and they don't get worn out at all, those 2 ones that I have been using for so many years still look like on the first day! The problem is that when I wanted to get some new ones ( I am always a bit scared to lose them on tour) last year I couldn't get them anywhere, there were stone picks, but not the shape that I wanted. But then I got in contact to a guy that actually produces custom stone picks, so I contacted him and he made 3 new ones for me, so now I got some backups I even got another one in a slightly different shape that I use from time to time, it is nice to have options -------------------- Guitars: various Gibson Les Pauls / Gibson J 45

I use both jazz III, the red ones and the black ones. The reds are a little bit more soft and clean than the blacks, give them a try, sure you'll never come back!

If you have a spare $2500 you could try one of these.
http://bestmusicshop.com.au/product_info.p...products_id=389 Personally I just grab a handful from the 10 for a dollar box at the music store. Preferably around 0.88 - 1.2mm thick with a sharpish point. -------------------- Gear:

Personally I just grab a handful from the 10 for a dollar box at the music store. Preferably around 0.88 - 1.2mm thick with a sharpish point. Same here I ususally find some good ones there. Once in awhile.. Would really like a stone pick though. They sound great! -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

I also thought the jazz III where too small in the beginning. Half an hour later it's the best pick I've ever played. Everybody should give the Jazz III a try

I see they also sell some stone picks on ebay, Agate and a few others.. Maybe I'll try one Who is it that makes customs picks then? Can you get different shapes, sizes etc..? The guy that made those picks for me has a shop on ebay, but I don't have the link stored here on my laptop. I will look for it on my other computer at home and post it here then. And yes, he offers picks in various shapes. -------------------- Guitars: various Gibson Les Pauls / Gibson J 45
