...and I wasn't expecting it to be this good Friend of mine got it, connected to the output of his mesa's OD channel. As he changed the cab. I guessed it and nailed marshall, Mesa, Fender cab.s which I personally choose. So I guess if my blind test had successed, then the impulses are good enough Only only thing I'm not sure about are the eq's (cab. size) adjustments, it sounded like the eq was a bit too narrow when tweaking so not all settings were great but wasn't really hard either to find a decent setup. It also worked well with my friend boss ml-2, so its safe to say amp-like sounding pedals can work like a preamp if needed (there are some youtube vid. examples about that). I know from the web., some connects their low-to-mid priced processors to it and it really enhances the sound (wish I had my gt-1 with me to try this). Also can work as either stereo or mono. One out can be flat while other has imulse incase you want to record a flat signal to be changed later...can even blend 2 amps to each side for a really complex sound. So for stage use, processor upgrade or if you hate dealing with 200+ impulses you downloaded from web its a simply yet very useful product. |
