I am very depressed.

Its the 1 december and we still dont have that much snow. I mean normally this time we have alot of snow but the weather now is rain.

From what we have been told the snow will come.

What about you guys: Are you used to have alot of snow or never any snow at all?

In England it varies a lot. Last year we had so much snow and difficulty with travelling. However, this year I don't think it will be such a harsh winter (Don't quote me on that, guys ! wink.gif )

No snow here either...only little in the north. I live in south.

Hey Ben I read from newspaper last year that you guys had serious problems with the snow. I presume that people don't use winter tyres in their cars either ? Then I remember a pic where was teenager girl who was wearing school uniform with miniskirt on and there were snow everywhere. laugh.gif

Today local newspaper was interviewing an expert from usa who predicted that after Christmas ( 25th -> ) is gonna be hell of cold. But those are only predictions... huh.gif

I usually get depressed when it snows. I hate the cold, and the wet. Give me some sunshine and warm weather!

Haha. Yeah I can definitely believe that laugh.gif

Yeah it was pretty bad for the UK.. most snow we've had for years ! The UK really isn't prepared for those conditions wheras you guys in Scandinavia know how to deal with those conditions. The UK should take more inspiration from you guys ! biggrin.gif

I live in North Florida USA. The last time it snowed & it stuck to the ground was in 1989. But the day after Christmas last year we did get some snow flurries but it wasn't cold enough to stick to the ground. We worry most about the weather when it freezes because we have a private well for our water & the pipes are partially exposed. If the pipes freeze, they could burst & it would be a costly repair.

Typically up in the US where I live, during October it snows. The last few years it seems to have moved later and later in the year. Kinda weird to think that all this global warming talk really may be true that its shifting everything.

@ WeePee, I believe it, because we have a book called the Famers Almanac, they say about how cold it should get and the amount of snow and how the weather will distribute it. From what I've heard it says that January is going to be pretty bad, but its going to be a few days clear up and hit again. Which

It snows every year, I think, in Arkansas. It snowed a few days ago. We got 6 inches, but it melted really fast. But we expect snow again soon. It always does. At least it better.

Still no snow here either. Only fog. I really like the snow and can't imagine winter and cold without it. Hope we're going to get lots of it this year smile.gif

I live in Los Angeles so I don't see it much, but when I was in Alaska for University, and when I visited my Fiancee's family in Niagara Falls, I got to experience lots and lots of it; and I must say, I LOVE IT.

In Germany, we had some serious snow problems during the last years as well. Given the fact that I want to go home next weekend and during Christmas and it's a 550 km ride I can live without snow very well right now.
We had one day of snow here in Rottweil in October and I'm pretty sure more snow will come soon...

Man, this autumn/winter is packed with fog, and still no snow. Usually snow falls in this time of year, but not now. I guess we will see snow at one point. Weather became crazy, one day 10degrees, it can be -5 tomorrow who knows..

One of the main reasons I moved from Massachusetts, in the North Eastern United States, to North Carolina in the South, is because I got sick of the snow. I used to hate waking up in the morning and not being able to determine which mound of snow my car was buried underneath. Not only that, the city I lived in had a parking ban in the winter, so people could only park their cars on one side of the narrow roads. This led to many fights because people would claim a parking spot that they spent 30 minutes shoveling all the snow away from. They did this by placing a chair in the spot they claim. Its not very effective but people still do it anyways. They have been doing it for as long as I can remember.

Here is a poster and a little paragraph commemorating this New England tradition
