Tuned down a half step last week and haven't gone back to 440 since. Having a blast with slinky strings - even my tone sounds meaner and dirtier. Is this a bad habit to get into?
I have 1-2 friends that do this with acoustic guitar and yes it does make a difference in tone. For electric though I'm not sure, I mean since there are so many factors to tone maybe this is an indication of a needed gear change?
The only risk to me is (when needed) the capo can seriously damage frets if forgotten to be removed, just 1 night is enough for damage so be carful and make a habbit of removing it every use.
