Hey Girls!
Just let me start by saying welcome and that you have definatley found a superb resource here at GMC. In my short time here, I joined in March 07, I have found the forum just as useful in my guitar learning as the lessons. There is a wealth of knowledge and information here that surpasses anything I've seen on any guitar site on the web. Kris has done an amazing job with this site and the forum is a testament to that. The topics are top notch and the posts are clean and friendly. Any question you might have about playing the guitar can be answered here on this forum.
So why a Ladies of GMC section you may ask? Well during a recent chat the topic of women on GMC arose. There doesn't seem to be many women posting on the forum or even on the chat. The idea was put out there that maybe it would be better to have a place for just us girls, where we could post questions to one another and help each other out. Forums can be nasty places and sometimes very harsh where women are concerned, they can turn sexist pretty quick. Some may find it intimating to post for fear of not being taken seriously or whatever else. This is not the case here at GMC I can assure you. The guys here are very nice and extremely helpful. But our own little spot is nice too.
So ladies chime in on whatever you want. Gear questions, lessons what ever. There are no silly questions. As I said before this is a valuble resource we should put it to good use. Besides this place needs a bit of a womans touch...no offence Kris.
Like I said in a previous post...lets show them it's not just for the boys.
