I know it's a random thing to post but whistling is one of those things that most people seem to be able to do but... I cannot whistle. I've tried but I can't do it.

How can this be something that comes so easily to people ?!

Is there anybody here who can't whistle either ? You can join my non whistling club !

I can both whistle normally or through my teeth BUT I've never been able to do that one where you put your fingers in your mouth to whistle really loud!!

I whistle so well, I can play a solo I wouldn't be able to play on guitar note by note by whistling Not kidding..

I can't whistle. I mean, yeah, I can make a couple of whistles if I keep on trying, but not enough to qualify as whistling. It's not very loud at all. I fail. And for some reason, people whistling gets on my nerves, especially when it's a girl doing it. Go figure.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same for me.. and I don't really like people whistling either.

I think that I can whistle, and my dogs appreciate it, or at least respond to it. Humans, not so much. Then again, I feel that when Mother Nature selected primates rather than canines to have the big brain with language capabilities, She made a big mistake.

In the 5th grade, a friend of mine noticed my front teeth are large so he told me: 'Dude! You know that you are built in such a way that you can whistle like crazy!'

The result? An 11 year old Cosmin whistling like a sheep herder in the ears of....girls... Yes, back then it was so fun! Of course they hated it and implicitly me, but hey I WAS HAVING FUN!

I can whistle but the one and only time I whistled at a girl she turned on me and cussed me out

Now I pretty much just whistle when I'm trying to remember melodies for songs I want to learn to play.
