The one with the embarrassing Youtube video(Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BgNhR9oisM God, so horrible), well the bassist from that mess is actually a great musician, and his project Indricothere, sounds pretty awesome. This is one of those "pleasant surprise" kinda bands, I thought it would be horrible at first but...well, just listen to the songs on his Myspace. I think you'll agree it's pretty good. Just thought I'd share.

Uhm... to my ears that was as horrible as the youtube clip.
The big difference was that while the worst band in the world were like playing different songs Indricothere has music somewhat resemling a song. Sorry I was listening to blues so all this came as a shock and ruined my day -------------------- My bands homepage

You have to hear the song to its full potential. Seriously, how could someone judge a band when there playing complex stuff on crappy practice amps and no drummer. Behold... The Arctopus is a great band man.
Alcoholocaust. Transient Exuberance The bassist drummer's name is Colin Marston by the way, and he also plays for Dysrhythmia. This post has been edited by VinceG: Oct 15 2008, 04:43 PM -------------------- |

The Arctopus is a great band man. I can! And I already know that if I click those links I will hear something that sounds terrible imo. I'm so sure I'd bet you $$$ my judging was correct to start with. And you seem pretty sure someone can't so do you care to bet against me, i.e that my juding failed and that I like what I hear hence was wrong to pre-judge? Just name the amount, any amount. -------------------- My bands homepage

Yea, Indricothere is Colin Marston's solo project, great music there IMO. And you're right, Behold... The Archtopus does sound much better with a drummer, still not something I would listen to at this time though, I prefer the more straightforward, heavy, and brutal Indrocothere, my only complaint is that the album isn't long enough. This is what happenswhen people try to be way original. Haha, I can totally picture it: "Hey man... Bluuuh... Let's make a new genre, duuuude!" "Yeah duuuuude..... Rock is sooo last week... Lemme' just detune my guitar and change the strings to where they doesen't belong... Boouuuøh.." If there were any doubts after my above mocking of the music, I didn't like it at all -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

Man I love Behold The Arctopus. I have some rare releases they have done. Absolutely crazy stuff but they are better on record with a drummer. The bassist kicks arse.
And I would like some money.
