I've been looking for another RGt42fm and the problem seems to be the price has tripled from just a few years ago. These guitars are 10 years old. They are an "INDO"! Not a prestige, not MIJ. So not top dog by any stretch. However, the word has gotten out and now the price is around $1,000 US with a hardshell case. It wasn't that long ago I purchased my last 3 of them for about $300 each!!!

They do have mahogany wings, 5 piece neck, beautiful finish. They were the best kept secret in the ibby world. But not anymore.

1000 is ridiculous, I'd rather get a new Genesis model for that money.

PS; We're (globally) barely starting to recover from Covid economy, many areas of supply and demand has problems and almost everythings price skyrocket'ed lately on stocks and this will reflect to the consumer sooner or later. Dealing with inflation is something very new to most countries but like Covid it will be a must to adapt in the coming years.

Agreed!!! For that money I'd buy an RG565 or something like that. There is no way a 10 year old indo is gonna get 1k from me. I love those guitars, but I'll wait until I find one for a reasonable price. I think they are worth $500. It's a great guitar for that price.
Even the simple grey ones are now going for $700. It just seems ridiculous.

I found a new white one (not with maple fretboard sadly) for $500. Which is what I think is a fair price for a 10 year old indo!

This one is a korean for$700!

Most annoying of all, the re release of the legendary RG565 has already run out of stock and people are scalping this 1k guitar for 1.5k. Uggh.

Interesting, first time I'm noticing prices are same or some even higher than in Turkey.

This is alarming for me too, though I don't have plans for buying a guitar told my luthier to grab some while he still can. This is likely a wave starting from USA and will spread to the rest of the world.
