I think it's pretty cool how we can make a vocal melody into an instrumental,

This is an example from Kiko Loureiro and the band Angra:

Aren't all good instrumental kinda vocal??? I mean, if You tries to compose a strong melody, You sing it in Your head with no particular instrument in mind. At least I do so...

This is a very good to check if your new song has a good vocal line - try to play it on guitar it should sound equally good.

I love all the Beatles instrumentals since their vocal lines always sound so cool smile.gif

I love vocal melodies on guitar. Another great example from Loureiro and Angra would be "Scream Your Heart Out", or anything from Marty Friedmans "Tokyo Jukebox" album, which is basically japanese mainstream music played in marty solo style biggrin.gif

Great pull on the Galneryus! The Pat Metheny is killer too, the guy is a legend.

ZAKK: How did you find Galneryus? I'm a fan of Japanese Metal but I have not found many other people that know about it. I also like older SEX MACHINE GUNS. Recently they have fallen a bit.

I like when they make acoustic arrangements of vocal melodies, it sounds awesome. Acoustic has certain quality that electric doesn't have, it's more warmer, natural.
