Break The Fall-my New Band

Over the last couple months I pieced together a band-my first band in a looooong time- I went 6 years without even playing guitar. So Im still knocking rust off as you would hear in the Megadeth cover in the end soloish part. I didnt record the main solo since my sweep picking is not good.

Anyway could you guys have a listen? We have a GIRL singer and she is pretty darn good.

We are working on originals but none finished yet. threw together 3 recordings last Sunday- halestorm, paramore and megadeth cover! everything was done in 1 take except for the vocals-they were recorded twice I think and dubbed over each other....

Evanescence Tourniquet Question!

This is a pretty easy song-EXCEPT for the verse rhythm- which is at 0:58 to 1:17 in the song. Kinda tricky. Its basic power chords- E-G-A I think-but I head palm mutes mixed with quick open notes and I am having a hard time distinguishing them apart-also Im questioning how many times to pick the notes. Up and down strokes? Just has me a little stumped-I can fudge through it-but I wanna nail it.

Help With Song Transcription

A close friends mom died recently and she asked me to learn this song so my band can play it while she sings it as a tribute to her mom. This is actually her singing it in the recording 15 years ago! Wants it doneon acoustic she says.

Anyway, even though I play metal and hard rock, I agreed. But I am still learning how to play by ear and could use help. I think I hear a C-G-Am-F-G progression for the main parts of the song-but Im probably wrong. Also the intro picking parts I could use help with.

Its frustrating for me because I can play ANY Metallica song from tabs but struggle with learning easy sings without tabs. Thank you in advance!

Oh and yes, it is a POP song...... but not too poppy lol I actually think after I learn the acoustic version my band can make it heavier like Evanescence style....

Egyptian Power Chords?

What are some power chords that sound egyptian? I play in drop D mostly. Just messing around on the low D I was thinking open D, E, F, A flat, A sounded close. Also how would I write an egyptian lead over power chords?
