My thinking is that the next step after assembling a kit, is actually to order warmoth parts and put together a unique guitar !

I wanted to stain it, it’s a lot less hassle than painting, and I like the look of natural wood more than paint atm, I would say it takes twice as long for painted ones, as you still have to sand wood down, then apply 2-3 layers of primer. Then 3-6 layers of paint and then 2-4 layers of laquering . Each layer has to be sanded too.
It’s more expensive IMO to paint as you have to buy more sandpaper and the primer and the laquer, .

Remember to check if the neck sits tight on the neck pocket, the tighter the better so if any carving etc. will be needed before staining might be better.

Yea the neck fitted fine, not touched the part of the neck that will be in the pocket as don’t wanna shave anything away from the tightness, the better snug fit the better.
I will be fret levelling and crowing aswell

For stains I can highly recommend the stains from Crimson Guitars, either their Water Based or Oil Based ones, followed by their Finishing Oil!

Yea I’m using Crimsons Guitar products. There a great company and do great quality products there advice is pretty cool
