Had this a few times this week, I haven't added any software nor am I doing anything any differently. Only a reboot gets rid of it. Occasionally it will stop the intermittent playing after closing down Reaper but the sound is still all warbley, like it's coming through water as you can here in this video, sad.gif

That's weird! You seem to have an awful lot of troubles with Reaper, from what I remember. I've barely had any!

we would need to know specs on everything , computer /ram/ programs /plugins ? in your signal chain, your cpu ? .Alot of times reaper would get weird just before Windows needed an update

Does a reboot fix things? It usually fixes quite a bit. Also updating window, updating the daw, and updating the drivers for the interface never hurts, that is if there are any updates that are needed.

Yeah, as said, a reboot fixes it, it's just a ball ache. Glad I've got SSD wink.gif It's the same laptop I've been using just for my music as my main PC gives off too much interference. Had it a couple of years so can't see why this is suddenly happening.

Ram came to my mind, not that its not enough but a different program causing such errors while working behind the scenes. But reaper is easy to re-install so first doing that is worth a try.

Didn't even occur to me that your music laptop was lacking ram? It's got at least 16gb of ram yes?
