Hi Leo - as I start mixing I notice this file has the backing track as well - so it is not a 'guitar only' track. Could you send me the right file?

Hi Kris,

I'm finally at home. Here is the correct file. I apologize again.

* BACKING TRACK 2:

- Only guitar (no reverb, no delay):

Attached File  Try_2_Backing_2_only_guitar.mp3 ( 897.96K ) Number of downloads: 57

Thanks again!

Angel.

Thanks Leo - and those are some very nice melodies!

I took a different approach for my response, as I felt a need to interweave my lines more with yours. So I tried backing them up with some percussive rhythm elements as well as overdubbing/harmonies.

...and here is the final result of this collab 😁 :

Hi Kris

Super collab

However, I am frustrated.
I wrote in a previous post that my track 2 was desynchronized at least 1 sec.

I made 1 new video of the 2 tracks with my gibson and you remixed the old take mad.gif

😒But I waited the weekend as promised and never got your new take? Or did you send them via email? I felt I wanted to complete this one not to keep everyone waiting. Has there been some kind of misunderstanding?

edit: Anyway I will use these files and put together a new mix! Watch this space! 😊

Awesome, Kris! It was a joy a to participate smile.gif And it's more reminiscent of older GMC collaborations. Not that I mind the newer format at all, but I believe people were asking for something along these lines, so it's great to see! smile.gif

That's interesting - I think it's safe to say our collabs have gone through several different eras. We should list them all for fun 😁

Yes that might be the most melodic exchange. I have to say they all go through very different styles of phrasing though - and that's also what keeps it interesting!

Although I used the same sound throughout my takes (just varying amount of distortion) - I tried to work with the pickup selector and tone knobs.

I like this very much! I think this collab is my favourite so far. Reminds me of Becker's Valley of Fire a lot too! It has a specific "conversation" vibe to it and it's definitely a great thing! I think I liked Gab's part the most but everyone did an AMAZING job, as always! smile.gif
