So here's the current demo of my tribute to Ms.Pfeiffer.
I simply took the raw bass/drums/guitar from the real recording studio (unmixed) and added some vocals.
To clarify - the discussion in the choruses should be done by two different voices, but I have no other one here atm.

What I really wanna hear from You guys is comments on the vocals, do they work, is the pronounciation OK???
(this song has mind-boggled me for nearly two weeks, since its in 3/4 and I've been unable to come up with any melody until now)

Just shoot!!!!

//Staffay

EDIT: For some un-known reason I uploaded the file in mono... (guess Im tired...) But now its OK... smile.gif

Sheesh

got no money, got no looks
gonna love ya with no hooks
Im gonna show it to you baby
I'll do my best to make You satisfied, thats what Im gonna do

gonna treat ya like a queen
like the finest lady ever seen
got a pocket full of treat and tricks, oh yeah
I'll do my best to make You satisfied, thats what Im gonna do

Sheesh
Sheesh

been wild bout You for Years
from the movies where You appears
been obsessed by the way You look, Huh,You look great!
I'll do my best to make You satisfied, thats what Im gonna do

Sheesh
Sheesh

SOLO

begging for a chance
to make my moves when we gonna dance
I will prove it to You, baby , Yeah I will
I'll do my best to make You satisfied, thats what Im gonna do

gonna love you til the dawn
and you will never make a yawn
I've been prepared for this for years, Oh Michelle
I'll do my best to make You satisfied, thats what Im gonna do

Sheesh

Staffy it sounds Really cool !! smile.gif.. but I would make the solo stand out more in the mix ..

and you pronuntiation seems to be alot better than in your previous recordings.. ( but keep working on it )

Thx. Ruben. Yeah, ofc. the solo shall stand out more, its not actuallly the right take either - as I said this is a rough mix from the studio where we are making the record I had put some vocals on at home, so the guitar solo shall be done again as well as some fills etc.
Also, I will put some more effort in the accent before we are making the takes of the vocals. Right now I'm studying redneck-american to get a southern accent, but its kinda weird to sing with that accent... tongue.gif

Great song Staffy!
I think your pronounciation is good, I mean, lots of singers who sing english and are non-native speakers have an accent. Just listen to the Scorpions, Kamelot, Hammerfall...to name a few of my faves.
One tiny mistake is in the third verse. It's gotta be: from the movies where You appear (without the s at the end).
I think the rest is fine, but let the native speakers be the judge of that.
Once again, cool song, I really love the chorus riff!

Right, appears is third person.
I have to change that!
Thanks!

Hmmm, it makes some sense. On the other side of the coin You can say "make a move".
If "yawn" in this case is a noun, it should be acceptable, but I dont really know if people use
that as an expression??? Anyway, to be safe I will change it, thanks!!! smile.gif

Well, that is kinda the purpose with the song. tongue.gif The bass player originally wanted to put the focus on Nicole Kidman, but I refused since she dropped to number third of my list. (Ana Popovic is of course number two)

You got a point there, maybe you can theoratically say make a yawn (when describing a chemical process) but it's never used like that.

Yeah, I think You're right, so I changed it to: "I will never make You yawn", that will be OK, right???

Thx. but I guess I have to, since the solo & vocals was recorded at home, and the studio engineer wants to record everything at his place. And I got a little bit out of time in the end anyway...

Thx. Bogdan. The bass player actually was an awesome slap-player back in the eighties before he switched to double-bass. Nowadays he just plays the electric with me, since he's a full-time jazz musician playin double-bass.

make me yawn-would be appropriate
it would give her the sense that you will never get bored with her
i'm just replying because GREASE 2 was on tv this week and although she is beautiful , that movie is hard to handle
