Hi Muris,

I was jamming for a while (means hours) ... over the backing track you provided for the blues collab. Even if i was not fast enough to take part, i wanted to share with you my last take. In fact two takes. The audio take is from a few days ago and the video is from tonight.

I think i never killed a set of strings that quickly smile.gif. my guitar easily starts to "pling" when the strings are old. I just changed them before doing the audio take.

I was stealing the beginning and the end from you ... i hope you don't mind huh.gif

Attached File  Muris_Blues_01.mp3 ( 1.58MB ) Number of downloads: 391

Attached File  Muris_Blues_02.avi ( 4.63MB ) Number of downloads: 304

Anyway, i hope you like it.
All comments and suggestions are very welcome ...

Hey,that was nice jam indeed,liked it a lot! smile.gif

You've got the right feel for this kind of playing,
raking sounds great,no strings ringing around,
you play with fine amount of attack, just awesome!

I would just suggest one thing.
You played few bends on high E string over Bm7 chord, from G to A.
And then you have E7/+9 chord, you did the same bend here.
I would try something else here tho,
maybe bend from A to B,even from A to C(C now becomes B#,like part of E+5 chord),
or any bend to D,E or G#,try lower strings if you want.
That was the only place in whole take
I have suggestion about, everything else was "on the spot",thanks for sharing!. smile.gif

Thank you Muris ... !!
It supposed to be the final, but on the wrong note mad.gif .
I have tried quickly some variations and it sounds much better.
Thanks for the hint.

I was so happy when the lesson series was published on this song. I was listening to this song endless hours before. Are the other parts still coming ? I love this part which would be the next one. wub.gif

Thanks again .. smile.gif

Both takes sound great. You're quite a guitarist. Keep up the great work. I like the cleaner tone of these takes. It really works well for blues eh? cool.gif

Played like a true blues man smile.gif

You almost have a Eric Clapton kind of vibrato when you hit the "B" and "E" string notes.

Awsome job man!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

I got the preset from here. It's a guy from youtube (CedricIII).

http://forssy.se/forsmanpodxtpresets/ (Guilmourish)

Funny story, i discovered him as he left once a not so friendly comment on one of my videos laugh.gif. But he was right in his comment and he is a good player. Especially the jam videos over some Pink Floyd style tracks i like a lot. Check him out HERE
