Edguy- How To Riff Series (part1), First time with my HD Cam recorded |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Rhythm placement - 4.8
Cleanness - 4.8 Feel - 4.6 Posture - 5 Sound - 4.5 Biggest problem here imo is your tone and mix, tone has too much bass even tho you used Lian's preset, your guitar is more woody I guess. Cut off bass a little and it'll also help you to execute all those pinched harmonics you missed. And guitar sound was too loud in mix as well, I could barely hear the backing so pay more attention to that. Oh, you played few wrong notes btw, at 0:28, you started from D# instead of C#, no big deal tho, too easy to fix, good job. -------------------- Youtube

Rhythm placement 4.4
Cleanness 4.4 Feel 4.4 Posture 4.9 Sound 3.9 Sound is something that needs more work here. Too much gain and compression and too much loudness relative to the backing. Timing was also a bit shaky here and there. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Rhythm placement - 4
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4.5 Posture - 4.5 Sound - 4 Backing is not loud enough. You have a good feel for this but it's still unprecise in many parts. Try less gain as well. Good job overall -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
