I'm assuming this is michael winslow. He used to do this kind of stuff as a standup routine and in a few films (several or all of the police academy movies?) and it's pretty interesting to see live.

Yes, he passes the mic through some od, reverb, but wah and other effects aren't needed, the voice can do that on its own.

Hmmm, I don't think it sounds like a guitar, neither as Jimi......

that's cool, sounds like a super fuzzed heavily abused whammy guitar smile.gif

He's the (only) reason why I loved the police academy movies. But this here is even better.

Cool performance, nice idea. I personally don't like it that much, I somehow think it's "bad" to imitate Jimi in this fashion, don't kill me, just MHO smile.gif
On the other hand, you cannot help to notice how Jimi was important for music and what he did when you watch this, and see all the trademarks that were so unique to him. It's instantly recognizable, this guy didn't have so "tough" job of reacting one of the most unique figures in music ever wink.gif

Pretty wild...but I agree with Ivan. Jimi is sacred!

I do think the voice passes through some type of fuzz or distortion
