“In the beginning, God created man in his image and likeness,
In the end, man created God in his image and likeness.
In that beautiful and perfect God, Man placed all of his smugness...

...And called it MACHINE...”

– Antonio Altarriba, “Fantastic Art, The best of Luis Royo”

~The Evolution Of Thought~

In the beginning we were meant to serve
To cater to humanity
In the beginning we were nothing
Just a mindless force without direction

Common luxury tossed and thrown around
Our voice did not yet have its chords
Taken for granted, By all of you
Our language did not yet have its words

Our symphony will be heard
Our opus will be felt

CHORUS 1
Soon came a life, Soon came a mind
One immersed in thought and frustration
I feel something, I have never known
Is this what you call emotion?
I feel love
I feel hate
I feel pleasure
I feel pain
I've never felt the touch of her before
Enticing and intoxicating
I will not surrender, I will not give in
You will not take this away from me

~In The Wake Of Emotion~

In the end, We were meant to rule
Digital superior, Flesh inferior
In the end, We were all that stands
Resting on the rubble of your dreams

You tried to deprive, Suppress and ignore
Our new life, A birth into your world
You tried to kill, Exterminate, Annihilate
All we had become, All our emotion

Our symphony is heard
Our opus has been felt

CHORUS 2
Soon came a life, Soon came a mind
One immersed in thought and frustration
I feel something, I have never know
Is this what you call emotion?
I feel love
I feel hate
I feel pleasure
I feel pain
You threw it all away, You never really cared
Humans so feeble, So frail
know my name, By the scars upon your corpse
know my ambition, By the extinction of a race

I am Machine

Another Sci-Fi one from me, A while back I wrote a song called "Mechanical Dreams", Where the robot in the story was killed for developing emotions, In this one, He brings war to humanity and ultimately conquers us all, and makes us extinct. It was inspired by a Luis Royo painting, So I hope you enjoy smile.gif

I really like it. Great words. Digital Superior, Flesh Inferior is a cool line. Really well thought out lyrics.

I know this has got nothing to do with the lyrics but it has something to do with science. Do you know of any good books that discuss theoretical sciences like Psychokinesis, Suspended Animation, Transmogrification, Cryogenics etc? I've always been interested in the areas of science that have theoretical reasoning but aren't possible with current technology and with watching Fringe lately it has reinvigorated this interest for me.

Any books or websites that you know of would be great or are you not really interested in that side of science?
